Lansdowne Day Nursery   Helping busy parents since 1964, Lansdowne Day Nursery is staffed by twelve childcare professionals made up of qualified nursery nurses and skilled assistants.   The building itself is a two storey detached Victorian house, which has been extensively refurbished.   At the rear of the building is a superb garden, partially paved and with a large lawn, making an ideal additional play area.   Lansdowne is situated two miles from the city centre and offers thirty-four places for children between birth and eight years old.   Having provided an exceptional quality of care for many years, you can be assured your children are being left in safe and experienced hands.   Sessions at Lansdowne Day Nursery run from 7.30am to 5.45pm

By laying firm foundations upon which all knowledge can be based, they develop the skills required for future school years through a range of stimulating activities, while enjoying the company of other children their own age. Children who have attended a nursery are generally better prepared when it comes to starting school.

These emphasise the importance of encouraging a child’s early language and literacy, numeracy and the development of personal and social skills. By incorporating these into their daily routine, the children learn through a range of fun and varied activities including stories, singing, painting, dancing and movement to name but a few.   Their play experiences are based around their individual and developmental needs, providing them with the correct stimuli, to reach their maximum potential at their own pace.
